H2B Work Visa Program

Each year foreign workers are permitted an opportunity to work on a temporary basis in the United States in various jobs. There are two types of H2B programs available, H2B Extension/Change of Status and New Applicant. These programs allows companies with staffing needs to fill vacant positions based on temporary or seasonal conditions. The H2B Visa is used by the company and worker to employ them for a period not to exceed one year in length.

American Experience works with multiple employers in Florida to provide staffing and expertise between the foreign worker and the company. If you're interested in working in the United States on a temporary basis this can be an ideal opportunity. These positions are limited in availability and based on the needs of our company.

H2B Visa Extension or Change of Status

Update: November 21, 2007 American Experience is filling Extension positions currently with a limited number of slots available. Once these slots are full we will not be offering more extensions until 2008.

This program is designed for people who are already in the United States on a valid  visa or on a visa that is about to expire. These individuals can either change their status form a Tourist, Student or Business Visa to an H2B Visa, allowing them to remain in the US and work legally.

The applicant must understand that filing for a change of status is not a guarantee and all control of this process is managed by the USCIS. It is also important to understand that changing status or extending an H2B with American Experience will require you to work as our employee for the length of your extended visa.

Please review the list of available positions coded as "H2B available" on the online portal BEFORE requesting an extension with American Experience. If you fail to work for our company in the job applied for, you may be subject to having your visa terminated based on the rules of the USCIS.

If you find a job you wish to apply for, please let us know you are interested in extending or changing your status to H2B. We will require proof of current legal status before proceeding further.

The documents required for an H2B Extension are:

  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of your current visa
  • Copy of I-94
  • Date you arrived in the United States
  • Address in your home Country
  • Address in the United States
  • Copy of Social Security Card
  • Copy of DS- 2019 form (If on J-1 Visa)

The fee for extending or changing your status on an H2B visa is $2000.00.  Payment terms are as follows: $1000.00* down payment, and the remaining $1000.00 when your H2B Visa is approved.

*The down payment is non refundable.
